Our Practice
Overview
Welcome to Norris Ward McKinnon. We are the Waikato’s leading provider of specialist legal services with a national and international perspective.
Our services
We provide a range of specialised legal services to meet the needs of large and small corporates, public institutions, small and medium businesses and individuals personally.
Choosing us
We know that choosing a law firm is not an easy task - clients may like to know more about who we are and how we operate before they make a decision.
Our Structure
Norris Ward McKinnon has never been a firm to stand still. We are a successful business as well as being a partnership of lawyers operating under our rules of professional conduct. Norris Ward McKinnon’s strategy is determined by all the partners, while day-to-day operational decisions are made by our Executive Committee, which consists of our Practice Manager and two Partners. This structure supports and ensures the continued delivery of the highest levels of service to our clients.
Active Associations
We are active members of NZ Law Limited, a nationwide network of independent law firms, and individually our partners and staff are involved in many business, charitable and leisure organisations in Hamilton and the Waikato.
Clients are the primary focus at Norris Ward McKinnon
Our vision has never been stronger; to strive to provide legal services that ensure better lives and better organisations for our clients.
We have embraced what our clients and the marketplace are telling us: we need to be flexible to meet their needs. We know that the way things have been done in the past is not necessarily the best way to do things today. Rather than delivering legal advice that focuses only on the problem, we work to find legal solutions that will meet your needs, rather than just rolling out what may have worked in the past. We try to find and provide innovative solutions that really add value for our clients.
We work with our clients to solve their problems simply and cost effectively, and the best way to do this is through developing understanding and long-term relationships with clients, rather than cutting corners which we know will only result in short-term gains.
