Family

The Family team has an extensive history of specialisation in family law and issues that arise from matrimonial and de facto relationships. We are dedicated to achieving appropriate solutions for clients who require advice relating to property agreements. In the event of a relationship breakdown, we are focused on achieving the best outcomes for any children involved.

We have represented clients in the District, Family, High Courts and the Court of Appeal in matrimonial property, de facto property, custody (including Hague Convention matters) guardianship, access, adoption and protection of personal and property rights cases.

We guide clients through the emotional challenges of family law with great sensitivity, while maintaining our professional integrity and service excellence. We want the best outcome for our clients, and wherever possible strive to secure mutually acceptable resolutions outside of the courtroom environment.

We understand the issues and challenges faced by people who require legal solutions in family related areas. Several of our lawyers are active as Counsel appointed by the Court to represent children in family law cases, and clients whose rights are affected by applications under the Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act. This is a responsibility we take very seriously.
